I couldn’t find anything to suggest that hammocks are more eco friendly than a traditional bed, but attached is an interesting article on how to make your own eco-friendly hammock. The method is easy, reuses fabric you may have lying around, saves money, and doesn’t waste packaging.
A hammock could be considered ‘eco-friendly’ in the sense that it uses far less material to make – and demands far less energy to transport – than typical beds that include box springs, mattresses, sheets, and the like.
Hammocks definitely use less energy and materials to make. This site, hammocks.com, has a bunch of eco friendly hammocks for purchase!
