are hair extensions had for the environment?

It depends what kind of hair extensions you are speaking of. Hair extensions vary greatly in material and you can choose to buy 100% real human hair, synthetic hair, or even animal hair. Nonnatural hair extensions can go through processes of being dyed and styled with chemicals in factories. These are not good for the environment, especially if they are for one time use and then thrown away. Animal hair should come from already deceased animals or it may be promoting irresponsible killing. All natural human hair is the best route as it undergoes the least processing, it is given voluntarily, and of course it is natural.
