I have noticed that green clothing is generally more expensive that normally produced clothing. This is probably because companies can use the fact their clothing is green for advertising, making their green clothing more desirable. If their is a demand for their clothing, then the prices can be as high as the companies want.

Green stores are sometimes a bit more expensive than traditional boutiques because it takes more of a risk and more time/money to grow organic cotton or fairly trade objects. So yes, sometimes “green” things are a bit more expensive but they are not ridiculously more expensive and it is important to pay a little bit extra in order to support vendors and producers that are selling morally and environmentally preferable items.
