There is not a direct relationship between length of a telescope and its power. There are telescopes that are short and wide that are extremely powerful. Also, the most powerful telescopes on the planet use a huge array of satellite looking telescopes which work together to form an image. As far as consumer telescopes go, there are multiple different aspects of the telescope working together to make the image, so length is not a definitive indicator of power.
