I would say so. All that’s necessary for a hydropower plants are turbines, and a place to store the energy. A geothermal plant is a newer technology, and relies on the heat beneath the earth’s crust. Such a plant would require digging, very deep digging. Our nation doesn’t have a lot of experience digging so deep, therefore, it would be a lot more expensive. Most experimental or new technology has a very high price.
