Are gas wars bad for clean energy?

Gas wars between different oil companies do hurt clean energy production and use. Gas wars refer to the fact that different oil companies lower their prices to out compete each other. This is done to increase one company’s total sales and put pressure on other companies to lower their prices or sell out. The artificially cheap price of gas causes many consumers to question if buying an alternative fuel vehicle is really economically feasible. A lack of consumer demand for clean energy sources can negatively affect the production and use of clean energy sources. Companies can’t sell and market clean energy vehicles if there is no demand for them.
