Are fraternities or sororities bad for the environment?

I don’t think they’re necessarily bad for the environment but they can be. Fraternities and sororities exist for a number of reasons. Some of them give back to their school and the community and can do so in a way that can help the environment. They fundraise, hold meetings and social events, and many also love to party. They can be ‘bad’ for the environment due to poor environmental decisions–not recycling the waste from their parties or organizing in destructive ways–but I don’t feel that they are by nature bad for the environment.
