Are fish a large part of a grizzly’s diet?

Actually, Grizzly bears eat basically anything that they can find.  They are the ultimate scavengers.  They will eat ants, fruit, plants, large animals, small animals, fish, and pretty much any edible trash that they find lying around which is one of the reasons that when camping you have to make sure to keep your food out of their reach.  There main diet consists of fruit, plants, insects because it is the most readily available, but if they can find other things then they are happy to eat them.  Fish are a fairly rare treat for them according to the first article, and it is mainly only a couple weeks in the summer when fish are a main part of their diet.
