Using the basic definition of a renewable resource “as any natural resource that can be replenished naturally” (www.threfreedictionary.com), feathers are renewable because birds naturally reproduce – there is no fixed amount of birds and they reproduce faster than they are consumed, unlike oil and other products. Most feather consumption is used for filling, such as geese feathers used to stuff pillows and blankets. However, the birds do have to be killed in order to harvest the feathers.
