Are EV batteries the most efficient batteries on the market?

I think you are misunderstanding “EV.” That stands for Electric Vehicle. EV’s use batteries yes, but it isn’t a battery itself. The most efficient EV battery right now is considered the Li-Polymer battery–popular among hybrids and 100% electric cars. In fact, if I remember correctly, the new Nissan Leaf is using Li-Polymer batteries to store and power the car.
