Are ereaders a way of reducing the carbon footprint of college students?

    I don’t think that was the intent, but it could work that way.  Of course, this means that a lot of textbooks won’t be purchased, and they need to be disposed of properly.  And, some day those e-readers will need to be disposed of properly, too.
