If you’re talking about lightning as an extreme weather condition in particular, absolutely. Just like any other modern cars, electric cars in particular rely on their wiring systems to properly function. Lightning can fry circuits, cause internal structural damage, and meltdown the engine. In terms of other extreme weather conditions, I wouldn’t expect electrical vehicles to fare any worse than most other vehicles on the road.
