Are the efforts for going green and global warming conflicting priorities for a new administration to tackle?

“Going green” is a term that has evolved in popular culture to indicate a variety of lifestyle or economic changes that reduce an individual, company, or society’s contribution to environmental problems.  Global warming is probably the one environmental problem people most often have in mind when they talk about going green, so going green and dealing with global warming are not conflicting goals.  Rather, “going green” can be seen as a way to popularize taking actions that will address global warming and contribute to a healthier planet.  The greenest thing that the Obama Administration can do right now is to work hard for national and international solutions to global warming.
