No. Ford’s Ecoboost engines register a mean MPG of around 20. Hybrid vehicles come in much higher, ranging from around 25 mpg to about 60, depending on size and type of the vehicle. Ecoboost works by getting more mileage out of each gallon of gas with a different fuel injection process, whereas hybrids work by not having to use as much gas altogether. It will still be a few years before we can expect an Ecoboost Hybrid.
