Are desert ecosystems still threatened by global warming, or are they already equipped to handle it?

Desert ecosystems are very threatened by global warming, because it tips the delicate balance that ecosystem lives by. The plants and animals in those ecosystems depend on the water they do receive, and when the deserts become more hot, the soil released nitrogen, which in turn is one of the major factors determining life in the desert. When this happens, it causes the plant life to die, which cascades to the animals that eat the plants, and the animals that eat those animals.
