Are cranberries native to New England?

    Indeed they are. They are native to North America and the first cranberry crop was harvested in 1816 in Massachusetts. New England Cranberry Company was founded in Mass. and has done much in the area promoting its growth.

    Cranberries, blueberries and the Concord grape are the only 3 fruits native to the United States and Canada. They are not only native to New England but are also native to New Jersey.
