Are buildings on the coast less efficient than buildings inland?

    Buidling on coasts has its benefits and brawbacks. The major benefit is that if you are near water, you can use boats as a means of transportation and defense. The major downside to building near the water is that your structure is more vulnerable to storms or other naturaul disasters that could lead to property damage. It really depends on what type of structure it is and what its primary functions are going to be when deciding where to build the building
