Yes, anything containing bleach is safe to use in a septic system as long as its done in moderation. Overuse of products containing bleach will kill the bacteria needed to break down the waste in the system. Bleach will usually break successfully break down before it has a chance to kill the bacteria, but it is not something that there should be an excess of. The best things to go into a septic system are materials that will break down naturally and easily. Tampons, paper towels, egg shells, fats, oils, and many more are definite no-no’s. Bleach is alright, in moderation.
