It seems that there is a lot of debate going on about the maltreatment of circus animals. Animals by nature cannot perform a lot of the tricks required by the circuses and are often trained by people to ride bicycles, balance balls, and stand on their heads. To be taught, trainers use muzzles, tight collars, whips, and other techniques. Animals are moved from place to place to move to the next location of the circus and spend most of their time in captivity. Though some circuses treat their animals better than others, a claim can be made that the treatment they are subjected to is unfair.
