Are certified hothouse cucumbers pesticide free?

Hothouse cucumbers, also known as English cucumbers, are just like regular cucumbers in that they are high in pesticides. Cucumbers have the 16th highest pesticide load of the common fruits and vegetables and therefore the only way to avoid pesticides in any kind of cucumber is to grow organic (and I would also recommend peeling the cucumber before eating it).

Not necessarily.  While there are many greenhouses that refuse to use pesticides or use alternative pesticides, such as ladybugs and wasps , other greenhouses still use pesticides.  Hothouse cucumbers will only be pesticide free if they are certified organic.
