The Philadelphia Phillies and the Boston Red Sox are leading the charge so far as Major League Baseball has joined up with the National Resource Defense Council to make baseball teams and stadiums more efficient. The Phillies have started using more LED bulbs around the stadium and are reusing cooking oil for meals and snack stands. The Red Sox installed solar panels on the stadium’s roof allowing the stadium to sue 37 percent less energy from gas.
