Are cells mostly water?

    While the exact percentage differs from cell to cell and organism to organism, just about all cells in the plant, animal and fungi kingdoms are mostly water. Most eukaryotic cells, those in plants and animals, contain between 60 and 90 percent water, usually about 70 percent.
