Are cell phones or computers worse for the environment?

Just by the vast quantity of which people to-day use and replace cell phones compared to computers, it seems as if cell phones are way more damaging to the environment than computers.  On average, people replace mobile phones every 18 to 24 months.  Computers usually are replaced anywhere from 2-10 years.  Both are pretty damaging to the environment, especially when they can be recycled.  Apple does manufacture products free of Magnesium and Arsenic, and does offer a recycling program.
