When people prepare frog legs in the U.S. they often use bullfrogs or leopard frogs. There is also a drink called a bullfrog.
Bullfrogs and leopard frogs are the most common species of frog eaten in the US. Interestingly, the US is a close second to France– the stereotypical frog-eating country– when it comes to frog consumption. Frog legs are eaten in many other parts of the world, including Asia and the Caribbean.
