Are blimps a more eco friendly way to travel than planes?

Surprisingly blimps are more eco-friendly than airplanes. Blimps are more eco-friendly than trucks. Of course, blimps are really convenient, or safe (lest we forget the Hindenburg), especially in urban areas, but might be effective for rural and undeveloped areas. One proposition is to use these “airships” for mining, oil, and gas companies in remote areas, which is a bizarre and ironic situation–using more efficient transportation to extract more fossil fuels from the earth. The blimps would reduce CO2 emissions up to 75% compared to helicopters and cargo planes. The blimps of today would be safer than the Hindenburg, it has a different shape and design.
