Birds do a lot to help disperse seeds from fruits and other plants they eat, and could therefore be considered the original “seed bombs.” Dispersal helps to spread seeds into new territory, and cuts down on competition with parent plants. Seed bombs are balls of compost, clay and seeds which can be simply thrown onto vacant land, letting nature take its course from there.
