Yes, you will find that any biodegradable product will generally be slightly more expensive than it’s non-biodegradable counterpart.
For example biodegradable plastics, as beneficial as they may be, are around 2-10 times more expensive than traditional plastics.
There is almost always a premium on “green” products, and it is up to you to decide what is worth it. A lot the biodegradable proudcts, like forks and cups, are still disposable and require resources to be manufactured and traveled, so to be even greener try to use products you can wash and use again and again.
