For the most part plants are made from safe materials, like silk, and will save on water, especially if you want a pretty flowering plant, but live in a dessert area. Conversely, a live plant can help cleanse the air, and some vines don’t need a whole lot of water to grow well.
also consider where they end up if you get tired of them or some reason comes up to get rid of them. if they end up in a landfill, they aren’t good for the environment! if you keep them or pass them on to someone else who wants them, then as rhathymia says- they shouldn’t be harmful since they tend to be made with safe materials.
