Are any specific types of buildings more or less likely to be LEED-certified?

New construction buildings are more likely to be LEED certified, because it is easier to incorporate energy efficient measures into a building’s design rather than retrofitting an existing one.

Along that line, larger office buildings will also probably be more likely LEED certified because they are easier to retrofit than residential housing and have a higher income to support the cost of the changes.
