If polar bear numbers continue to decrease, it is likely that the only other land predator of the arctic would take over, the arctic fox. If the arctic fox becomes the dominant predator, evolution dictates they will probably grow larger and stronger to take down bigger prey more easily now that they are free of inter-specie competition.
