Yes, laws that help reduce air pollution also serve to curb global warming. Air pollution often emits greenhouse gases into the atmosphere and trap the radiation and heat the contribute to global warming. However, laws against air pollution aren’t just for global warming. They also contribute to the overall health of the people in the area. Lung diseases and respiratory problems are increased in areas with high pollution and adversely affect the health and activity of the people. So while laws against air pollution might help with our global warming situation, that is not their sole purpose.
