Aluminum is not biodegradable. It is best to make sure that aluminum cans gets recycled. Just by aluminum recycling one solitary can, you are saving enough energy to operate the television for 3 hours or burn a one-hundred watt bulb for 4 hours. This energy is saved by not having to produce new aluminum cans. In the end, though aluminum cans are not biodegradable, they do compose over a period of around 500 years.
