An Energy pyramid demonstrates that all creatures depend on one another. Producers are the bottom level-the sun causes photosynthesis in plants; the next level would be primary consumers of herbivores; next up would be omnivores that belong to the secondary consumer group; followed by primary carnivores or secondary consumers; and the top would be secondary carnivores. When the animals at the top of the food chain die, they rely on bacteria to help them decompose. This starts the cycle all over again.
