Most of them are – including fossil fuels and biomass (from photosynthesis), solar, wind, wave, and hydro (water cycle is powered by the sun). The few exceptions are tidal energy, which is due to Moon’s gravity, and geothermal, which is produced from Earth’s internal heat.
It is assumed that all heat energy stored in the earth came from the sun (although this is debatable, due to the discovery hydrothermal vents; life-sustaining mini-volcanoes discovered deep in the ocean). The basis of the food chain is plants which derive sustenance from photosynthesis; all surface heating on the planet comes from sunlight.
