Acorns are not actually poisonous to humans. In fact, many people around the world have acorns as one of their dietary staples. In particular, the North American Native and Korean cultures both use acorns as regular foods. A few varieties can be toxic to humans in their raw form, but after they are prepared properly, acorns can be roasted and consumed just as any other tree nut.
