Is archeology a dying profession?

Considering that archeology is the scientific study of past human culture and behavior, this profession will never die.  Humans are always curious about our past, and look to the past to help solve current and future problems.  The job market may be shrinking in this field due to well documented research, but we will always have more to learn.  Our views on the evolution of humans are still being challenged and overturned on a regular basis.  Until we have a complete understanding of our history, which we never will, archeology as a profession will never cease.

Archaeology is a discipline that can integrate with other fields, creating new applications and methodologies. For example, forensic archaeologists can help investigate cases where human remains are found, documenting and excavating the site as well as performing analytical tests and providing legal testimony on evidence collection and analysis.
