Some things can be, but it depends mostly on the product itself. For example, a lot of food that is sugar free is better for the environment because it does not require a processing plant to add the sugar. On the other hand, a lot of products will use sugar substitute to be able to claim they are sugar free, which requires processing of fake sugar which is often worse from the environment (because of all the chemicals used and produced). The easiest way you can have sugar free eco-friendly food is to cook with recipes that require natural flavoring like fruit.
