American public vs European public regarding views on climate change?

So I see that only 57% of Americans think global warming is real. Does anyone know if a similar study has been done regarding European views?

Europeans tend to be more in favor of big government, meaning they are willing to give up more of their income to taxes in return for social programs, such as environmental and renewable energy programs. In America, we generally dislike/distrust the idea of raising taxes and the idea of big government. However, with Obama as president, hopefully some of that change he promised will come through in the form of a changing philosophy of the American public.

Democracy works, if everyone decided they wanted more strict climate change regulations, congress could have to approve legislation in favor of this change.
