I don’t think there will be any immediate or large eco-friendly benefits. Every single surgery will still have to have a new set of sterilized tools and drapes. The robot will avoid any kind of human error that could have caused extra waste, but since they are working on the human body there will always be surprises and error. There is also a human operating the robot. It probably won’t cut down on the amount of staff needed either.
