Yes, I believe it is. Alpaca fiber has been used for over 6,000 years and most of the the alpaca’s belong small, local herdsman who utilize humane treatment (breeding and shearing) techniques. When used for textiles, alpaca fiber are cleansed using a gentle, biodegradable detergent. It’s considered to be very green since it is sustainable, natural and renewable.
