Is all sewage eventually dumped in the ocean?

    Nope. Some sewage is processed back into nature long before it hits the ocean. Some of that is done by humans, and some of that is just good old Mother Nature.

    Some ecological statements might lead you to believe that the entire Earth recycles itself. You know, the air is reused, the water is reused, etc. Even a superficial reading about the techtonic plates might lead you to that conclusion. But in fact, the Earth didn’t always HAVE techtonic plates, and there are planets such as Mercury whose insides are “dead”. I.e., nothing much has changed for millions of years.

    A great deal of the Earth does not recycle in any timeframe that’s critical to ecology.
