Yes, it all goes back to the sun. The sun is our reason for being here, as it is the most massive thing in our solar system, and it’s gravitational pull is what brought all the matter of the planet systems into its orbit. So yes, since the sun is directly responsible for all the energy/matter that is here, that makes all of it connected. Think about it— what causes the wind? The relative heating of the earth’s atmosphere (caused by direct sunlight), in turn causes warm air (which is less dense) to rise and cold air to sink below — and the interaction of the pushing and pulling of these forces we experience as wind. Any source of renewable energy (that I can think of, at least, is) — in a way — related to the sun’s presence here at the center of our Solar system.
