After planting a live oak, is it normal for all of its leaves to turn brown?

The tree was planted a few weeks before we had a hurricane. We had about 9″ of rain.After the hurricane it was leaning over some and the men who planted it came back and straightened it up. The next week there was another storm and we received an additional 9″ of rain. Now all of the leaves have turned brown.

    It sounds like your Oak may have suffered some overwatering. Other possibilities include: “Anthracnose” or, Oak root fungus. When diagnosing your trees, it’s always best to consult a professional, however, these websites may help you quite a bit:
