Not really: depending on the model, this supercar runs on a regular Honda or Saturn engine and uses normal gas.  But considering how fast it goes, it has good gas mileage: about 30 miles per gallon.

Brammo Motorsports, the originally launched the Ariel Atom racecar in the United States and the company has taken into consideration to launch greener vehicles.  The 2007 Ariel Atom was reported to have CO2 emissions of 0.72 lb/mile, a lower compared to other racecars.  Fuel economy of this model is reported to be 27 mpg.  So while it is a greener option as a racecar, the industry still as a long way to go before catching up with the greener consumer car market.
