The WHO had done studies that measured levels of air pollution in cities around the world. Based on their criteria, Ahvaz, Iran has the most air pollution because it had the highest rates of airborne particles that measure less than 10 micrometers. These particles come from things like industrial and vehicle emissions. The WHO collected data from around 1,100 cities. Cities in India, Mongolia, and Pakistan also had high rates of air pollution while cities in Canada and the U.S. were at the lower end of the scale.
