It depends on how far you are moving. The longer you have to drive to get to your new home and the more things you have to move the more carbon you use. There are many ways to make moving more environmentally friendly such as packing your things in used or rented cardboard boxes and using shredded newspapers instead of bubble wrap. There are also green moving companies that can help you move in an environmentally friendly way.
