How big can grizzly bears get?

They can grow anywhere from 5ft to 8ft (1.5m to 2.5m)  and can weigh up to 800lbs. However, at their shoulders when on all fours they are about 3 to 3.5 feet with a length of 6 to 7 feet. Females usually weigh 200 to 450lbs, while males weigh 300-850. Even though they can get quite big, they still can move pretty fast and have been known to move up to 30 miles an hour.

Grizzly bears on all four paws are as tall as 4 feet. When these animals are standing, they are as tall as 7 feet. The weight of male Grizzlies can range anywhere from 350 to 800 lbs., which is about 25% less than females. The weight of these animals can vary depending on their diet, habitat, and what time of year it is (Bearlife.org, 2011).
