Do we still use BPA in canned goods?
Some studies have shown BPA (Bisphenol A) to be in as high as 92% of canned food products. BPA, while used to preserve foods, has also been classified as an endocrine disruptor - it mimics human DNA!!
While we await possible congressional action regarding concerns about BPA in canned goods, there are a handful of manufacturers that use BPA-free cans. Another alternative is buying frozen food instead of canned.
