     No. They both belong to the Agkistrodon, but they are two different species. Copperheads are sometimes called "highland moccasins" or "dry land mocassins", which leads to confusion. Water mocassins (Agkistrodon piscivorus) spend more time in aquatic areas, while copperheads (Agkistrodon contortrix) favors woodlands and deciduous forests.
