Does the United States still grow a lot of cotton?
asked 29 weeks ago in Crops
Yes. Cotton is grown in 17 states in the U.S., mostly in the southern region of the country. Texas is known to grow the most cotton in the nation, and yet, China is known to grow the most cotton overall. From 2006 to 2008, almost 18 million bales of cotton was produced in the U.S. That means a lot of comfy T-shirts!
